Product Portfolio Manager

We are seeking an innovate Product Portfolio Manager for a global manufacturer based in Bedfordshire. This is a permanent full-time post which offers hybrid working options, a salary ranges up to £65,000 plus a highly attractive employee benefits programme and end of year performance bonus. This is a newly created position which requires proven knowledge of Data Centre products; therefore, a minimum of 3 years previous technical data centre infrastructure know-how is key to the success of this role.

Reporting to the New Product Delivery Director, this is very much a collaborative role, one which will include close working with sales, marketing, branding, technical research, and solutions delivery teams across the EMEA regions. Responsible for working on products from inception through to completion, the need to have a deep understanding of data centre technology, understanding the physical set up of data centres along with the storage capacity, infrastructure capability and related hardware equipment. The ability to communicate the purpose and importance of data centre installation and management, the computing infrastructure that IT systems require, such as servers, data storage drives, and network equipment is critical to the overall job requirement.

As Product Portfolio Manager we are looking to attract a candidate who can evidence an entrepreneurial approach to solution delivery, taking full responsibility for product lifecycle, gaining, and maintaining strong customer relationships with the client and associated supply chain. Responsible for managing multiple product lines at different stages, using data driven insights including global product management to ensure successful and profitable new product launches.

A knowledge of optical networking or telecommunications is key, able to demonstrate sound product management and new launch experience, driving product growth and profitability whilst working for a global organisation. Ideally seeking an experienced and certified SCRUM Product Owner with experience gained working with Agile methodologies. Some Global travel is required when meeting with new and existing clients.
