Title: Launch Integration Engineer

Contract Position based at: Solihull - on site typically 2-3 times per week, working from home other 2/3 days

Umbrella Rate: £31.54 / hour

Length of Contract: Until 31.3.25

Position Description:

Launch Integration Engineer

Reporting to the Launch Integration PVT Manager, you will need to represent the launch integration team and support both pre-production and production builds.

The role will drive activities for delivering the targets set by product engineering for electrical quality in our drive to achieve world class performance levels. The team operate in an exciting and dynamic environment providing the interface between the core engineering teams and manufacturing.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Broad experience and understanding of Electrical systems and Architecture including Software (inc. Cybersecurity), Networks, Diagnostics, Hardware, IVS & EDS

An understanding of manufacturing (Build and Off-track) processes including VCATS (inc. IPT/SWDL/EOL/Rigs/WAHA/HC)

Experience of planning and coordinating pre-build software test and validation, including the ability to analyse test results, to track, report & escalate issues identified accordingly at relevant Senior Reviews.

Proven ability to build and manage multiple internal and external relationships in complex stakeholder environments as well as having the ability to interact and communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation

Drive and motivation to achieve goals of team and self with minimal supervision.

Flexibility to travel to other sites in the Midlands and North West occasionally.

Clean full driving licence

Knowledge and ability to use diagnostic tools (i.e., Corvus, CANalyser, Snapshot tool, Intrepid, Picoscope) to interrogate and analyse vehicle diagnostic data.

Ability to analyse DOIP / Wireshark Logs

Knowledge of UNCE 156 regulation for Software releasing.

Understanding of software release (IVS) and integration processes

Preferred:

Experience of using WERS system and issue management tools (5F, AIMs, RTC, JIRA)

Experience of working in an Agile / framework environment.

Competent with tools and techniques relating to robust problem resolution (i.e., 8D & 6 Sigma)

Trained to Class 3 / Advanced driving standards

Proficient using MS Office applications

Good understanding of field quality data systems & metrics

Previous experience of new vehicle Launch activity or PVT
