Deutsche Bank's Origination & Advisory business provides the full range of advisory and financing products and services of a prominent Global Investment Bank. Our clients include large-cap and mid-cap corporates, financial institutions, governments, government agencies and financial sponsors.

Financial Institutions Group (FIG) principally advise Banks (including Deutsche Bank), insurers, governments, asset managers, stock exchanges, FinTech and Private Equity firms across all products, in particular Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), Equity Capital Markets (ECM) and Leveraged Debt Capital Markets (LDCM). Importantly, FIG serves as Deutsche Bank's Senior Executive Relationship holders for the banks most important clients.

FIG is about both coverage and execution and delivers a service from start to finish. Although we bring in other teams when needed. Within Origination & Advisory we primarily work with country coverage, M&A, ECM, Financial Sponsors Group (FSG), LDCM, and United Kingdom (UK) Corporate Broking.

You will be evaluating companies, developing models for M&A transactions, preparing industry and product evaluation for pitches, monitoring capital markets, and interpreting relevant data for our clients, or getting involved in the execution of live deals.

Your key responsibilities

  • Coordinating and assisting in origination and execution of M&A, LDCM and ECM transactions
  • Supporting senior bankers in the coverage effort of key accounts across the Financial Institutions Group sector, such as conducting sector and company research, quantitative analysis, company valuation, credit analysis and financial modelling
  • Preparing complex financial analysis and models
  • Supporting the preparation of client presentations and pitches
  • Speaking to and supporting clients regularly

Your skills and experience

  • Relevant corporate finance experience supporting the origination and execution of M&A transactions within the Financial Institutions Group sector
  • Strong quantitative, numerical, and analytical skills, with creative problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to represent the firm before management teams and other deal professionals
  • Leadership potential
  • A strong commitment to integrity, professionalism, and teamwork
