Job Type: Temporary to Permanent position after 12 weeks
Location: Basildon
Salary: £13.00 / £13.50 per hour - Depending on Route
Hours: Monday to Friday can be from 5 am start
Between 1 - 5 drops per day - Pre-Planned Routes - Ensuring your daily drops are achievable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Daily Inspection of Vehicle and reporting any defects
- Checking the Load is Safe and Secure
- Completing relevant paperwork load manifest matches Load on Board
- To help Customers off Load there order (If No other means available)
- To report any accidents as soon as they happen
- To Re-Fuel the vehicle at the end of each day
- To return all paperwork and report any issues to the transport Office.
Person Specification:
- Must be 25 years and over
- Able to follow and maintain procedures.
- Willing to start early mornings
- Used to manual handling
- Reliability and good work ethic.
- Van Driver must have valid Van (Category B) driving licence.
- Must have excellent communication skills for the role of Van Driver
- Must work well with others and as an individual
- Minimum 1 years Van driving experience required.
- No more than 6 points on your licence for insurance purposes (no DR/DD/BA offences
