Accounts Assistant

Our growing client is looking for an Accounts Assistant who can enable effective day to day running of the finance function. This is a busy and varied position looking after financial transactions, VAT and monthly accounts. The position will involve working closely with the finance manager, in a small close-knit team with a great atmosphere. The client is a growing Cornish business, who looks after their staff and customers, valuing quality and teamwork.
Main responsibilities:
- All aspects of Purchase Ledger - transactional processing of invoices, and liaison with suppliers.
- All aspects of Cash Bank - transactional processing payments and receipts, transactions, bank reconciliations for the numerous companies.
- Help to maintain the accuracy and integrity of the general ledgers for a group of companies.
- Assist with month end reporting and reconciliations for various general ledger accounts, accruals, prepayments and fixed assets.
- Preparing BACs payments
- Assisting with budgets/ forecasting
The successful candidate will have:
- Ideally a working knowledge of VAT, Purchase Ledger.
- Accounts Assistant or Purchase Ledger (Accounts Payable Experience)

This job is based in a lovely office, with good transport links available and free parking. Flexibility around start and finish times is available but this is a full time role at 37.5 hours per week.
