Job Title: Assistant Quality Assurance Technician (Part-Time)
Location: Hereford, Holme Lacy road
Working Hours: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday | 7:30 AM - 3:30 PM
Reports to: Warranty Supervisor
Position Overview: We are seeking a diligent and detail-oriented Assistant Quality Assurance Technician to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is crucial in ensuring the quality of our automotive components by assisting with the evaluation and inspection of returned orders. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate records, participating in continuous improvement activities, and supporting the quality assurance team in various tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the Warranty Supervisor in the evaluation of automotive components, including unpacking and sorting of returned orders.
- Progress to inspecting automotive parts after completing thorough training.
- Maintain and update relevant spreadsheets with a high level of accuracy.
- Manually pick and prepare claims for return to suppliers.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organisation of the work area, adhering to company standards.
- Participate in Quality Circle meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
- Undertake any other reasonable tasks related to the position as directed.
Qualifications:
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Forklift Truck (FLT) license is desirable but not essential.
