Contract Opportunity in Credit Control for a German Speaking Credit Control professional!
I have an exciting new full-time, hybrid contract German Speaking International Credit Control opportunity to join a super successful large international business situated in Nottingham, due to growth of the company and thus the International Credit Control team. This company and team have excellent staff retention and the recruitment of new team members is typically due to growth within the business and internal promotions, alike this opportunity. The business has an impressive office space and a friendly work force at all levels of seniority.
About the Role:
In this role you would join the existing team of 4 International Credit Control Clerks, in a wider Credit Control Department of circa 30 members, headed by the Credit Manager, and report into the International Credit Control Team Supervisor. The role is hybrid and so expect a minimum of 2-3 days a week working from available to you.
As the German International Credit Control Clerk, you will be responsible for managing your own set of the company's customer accounts (circa 150 with a value in multiples of millions) ensuring timely collection of outstanding debt, while also supporting your fellow colleagues in your team and the wider Credit Control Department. The role is fast paced and varied and comes with its complexities and challenges around query resolution. It is ideal for someone confident and experienced in credit control processes, ideally with international ledger experience, who is self-sufficient and enjoys the autonomy to get on with their role and solve their own work challenges. Of course you will need to be fluent in business German.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for managing your own set of live customer accounts circa 150.
Maintain regular communication with customers to build positive relationships and ensure payment commitments are met. Building an effective and partnership with both internal and external customers.
Comfortably have challenging conversations where required with internal and external customers.
Initiate escalation processes for potential issues.
Ensure targets and KPI's are met.
Identify and driving process improvements.
Show attention to detail in query processing and management.
Ensuring accounts are always up to date and accurately maintained.
Investigate and resolve incoming queries within agreed target time lines.
Work with a self-directed approach looking to solve own account challenges as a 1st port of call.
Providing support to the wider finance team as needed.
Ideally you will have:
Experience in business credit control processes, including dealing with challenging and complex accounts.
Experience of the responsibility of your own international ledger.
The ability to deal with volume invoice processing and queries.
Fluent business verbal and written German language skills.
Strong customer service and query resolution skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
Excellent team player attitude.
Able to work self -directed and happy with being managed remotely.
A Self-starter confident in their credit control abilities.
A solution-driven with a continuous improvement mindset.
A proactive and results-driven approach to credit control.
A track record of clearing outstanding debts.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent numeracy skills.
Understanding of Accounting platforms such as SAP, Oracle or similar.
Confident with basic Microsoft Excel tasks.
