An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Procurement Assistant to join a large Trust based in Wakefield. Reporting directly into the Head of Procurement, you will assist the procurement team in managing and delivering procurement services across the Trust and all institutions.

Description

  • Providing comprehensive support to the Procurement team.
  • Assist in the end-to-end procurment process, including the management of the teams invox and supplier engagement.
  • Assisting in the preparation of procurement documents.
  • Liaising with suppliers, ensuring high standards of service delivery.
  • Undertaking administrative tasks related to procurement.
  • Assisting in the management of contracts and supplier relationships.
  • Maintaining accurate records of procurement activities.
  • Ensuring adherence to the company's procurement policies and procedures.
  • Contributing to the improvement of procurement processes within the organisation.

Profile

A successful Procurement Support Assistant should have

  • Experience of supporting procurement activities.
  • A desire to progress in the procurement sector.
  • Proficiency in procurement software applications.
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills.
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
  • A keen eye for details and a proactive approach to work.Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
