I am working with an excellent business who is looking to recruit a Management Accountant to join our team on a hybrid working basis. Your team that you will be managing is based in Crowborough and London, so your office days will be split between both locations.
As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for the production and analysis of month-end (and annual) management and financial accounts, along with all associated activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Report to the UK Financial Controller, managing the month-end process to ensure all tasks are completed accurately and on time, including Income Statement, Balance Sheet, variance analysis, and cash flow.
- Conduct in-depth reviews of results, focusing on variance analysis versus budget and prior year, and perform Balance Sheet analysis to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Line manage a team of approximately one direct and three indirect reports, overseeing, mentoring, and coaching staff such as the Assistant Accountant.
- Oversee statutory reporting, including statutory accounts, annual returns, tax submissions, and VAT for the UK and other markets.
- Support the UK Financial Controller, EMEA Accountant, and EMEA Controller with ad-hoc tasks and analysis.
