Key Responsibilities as an IT Procurement Manager
- Source IS services for PI & R and Group requirements.
- Manage an annual IS BAU spend of approximately £30 million.
- Oversee an additional project spend of around £10 million in the network and hardware category.
- Deliver business-critical projects within the IT pipeline.
- Collaborate with the Software Procurement Manager to develop a robust software and network category strategy.
- Work with stakeholders to create and implement strategies.
- Identify suppliers to meet specific objectives.
- Manage costs effectively.
- Build a comprehensive category plan.
- Ensure quality and performance across the supply base.
Core Experience and Skills
- Extensive experience in procurement.
- Experience in transformation or migration projects.
- Skilled in a broad range of sourcing strategies to support the IT category (preferred).
- Proven track record in strategy development and implementation.
- CIPS qualification (beneficial but not essential).
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior-level stakeholders.
- Strong relationship management with internal customers, stakeholders, and suppliers.
- Proficient in procurement execution, including business requirements, market analysis, tender negotiation, and contract awards.
