Role Overview

An unusual opportunity for an experienced Pathology healthcare professional to be involved in the largest Pathology Transformation programme in the UK, working with operational, clinical and project leads to co-ordinate, review and inform key stakeholders about clinical information and changes to the wide range of core and specialist services offered by the Synnovis laboratories.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and organised individual with a diagnostic laboratory background and good understanding of analytical and clinical processes to liaise with the Target Operating Model (TOM) Delivery leads in the collation, evaluation and design of information and data relating to the various stages of the Transformation and service migration process whilst we implement our Hub and Spoke pathology service.

Reporting directly to the Clinical Governance Lead for Transformation, the role will support the Transformation and Communication teams in compiling reports, briefings and presentations to keep service users and Trust colleagues informed throughout the Transformation process. Experience of collecting, analysing and presenting data and information is therefore a key factor for this post

Key stakeholders will include Transformation leads, Strategic Clinical leads and Communications leads, so the ability to liaise with colleagues of all backgrounds and specialities is critical to this role.

Key Responsibilities

  • The post holder will liaise with Transformation Leads, project managers and Strategic Clinical Leads to ensure that accurate information and data is collated and readily available for the purposes of providing comprehensive and specific updates about Transformation and service migration to stakeholders and service users.
  • The post holder will support the Clinical Governance Lead for Transformation in drafting reports, presentations and briefings relating to Transformation, service migration and service user information as required for different stakeholders.
  • Using previous Pathology and laboratory experience, they will assess data and information for potential clinical impact as a result of changes and how they relate to different services and stakeholders, providing recommendations and guidance where appropriate in conjunction with the Clinical Governance Lead for Transformation.
  • The post holder will be required to use high levels of persuasiveness to ensure information and data is available in a timely manner, is comprehensive and includes the level of detail required, ensuring clear and effective lines of communication with all staff.
  • As a delegated responsibility, the post holder will be required to represent the Clinical Governance Lead for Transformation at Synnovis, Trust and external meetings when required, liaising with users of the service as necessary.
