Business Analyst

Looking for a business-critical role at an exciting time with change and transformation at the heart of the offering? The role encompasses three main responsibilities with touch points across the organisation and exposure at all levels. You will bridge the gap between the internal business needs and the external development team (IT outsourced partner and ERP developers) in a wide-ranging role.

You'll be the systems expert for Microsoft Dynamics, Power BI and the organisation's demand and supply planning software. Secondly, you'll be the main point of contact for troubleshooting issues across the business whilst managing the relationship with the outsourced IT service provider. Thirdly, where the majority of your time will be spent, you'll be the go-to person for creating and influencing insightful reporting. Working closely with the Head of Finance alongside other key stakeholders within operations, you will actively seek opportunities to improve the business's productivity and profitability by utilising datasets to better understand and improve performance.

The Role:

  • You will be the superuser for Microsoft Dynamics Business Central; PowerBI; and other technology integrations.
  • You will support the business with ad-hoc requests; troubleshooting and maintaining a roadmap of developments needed to constantly improve and optimise across the technology solutions.
  • Ensuring master data across the business is controlled; up to date; accurate; complete.
  • Working closely with the Head of Finance on providing key reports and insights to the commercial and operations teams.
  • Owning the relationship with an outsourced IT partner to supporting on minor on-site troubleshooting.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets in collaboration with internal stakeholders and external developers.

Your Experience

  • Experience in a similar role is essential having previously used Dynamics and PowerBI / Tableau.
  • Strong understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to prioritise critical tasks regularly and keep stakeholders informed.
  • Proficiency in project management tools and business analysis software (e.g., Jira, Monday.com etc.)
  • Entrepreneurial spirit - recognising in a small business environment teamwork is essential.
  • Agile mindset
  • Intellectually curious - challenging the status quo and ask why, what, when. Always trying to improve and create efficiencies.
  • Experience with consumer goods, retail or manufacturing would be desirable.

What's On Offer

  • £45,000 - £50,000 basic salary
  • 10% bonus
  • 30 days annual leave (plus bank holidays)
  • 2/3 days WFH per week
