Senior IT Service Delivery Manager

This is a fantastic opportunity to play a pivotal role in managing our IT operations, ensuring seamless service delivery, and supporting our mission to uphold the highest standards in pharmacy practice.

Salary: £75,000 - £81,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience, plus benefits

Hours: 35 hours per week, from 9.00 to 5.00, Monday to Friday

The Role

This role owns the IT services, suppliers, and budget for the GPhC's day-to-day operations. The job holder is accountable for IT contract strategy and management, including negotiations and service level agreements. You will manage relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders, ensuring a consistent touchpoint with GPhC IT. Additionally, you will stay abreast of industry trends and best practice in supplier management and IT procurement.

This role is subject to a basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as part of our pre-employment due diligence.

The successful applicant will:

  • Manage supplier relationships: Oversee the contractual relationships with approximately 80 IT operational suppliers, ensuring compliance with UK legislation and GPhC financial and procurement policies.
  • Drive performance excellence: Champion supplier performance by producing monthly performance reports, addressing service risks, and implementing improvement plans where necessary.
  • Navigate risks with precision: Collaborate with procurement colleagues to identify, assess, and prioritise risks associated with IT suppliers, conducting thorough due diligence to evaluate risk profiles.
  • Own the Budget: Manage the IT operational budget (circa £2m), tracking costs and making sure any service changes are accurately reflected.
  • Champion service continuity: Manage and communicate service outages, working with suppliers to resolve issues swiftly, whilst conducting root cause analysis for major incidents to implement lasting improvements.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders: Engage with stakeholders to align IT services with business needs, serving as the primary point of contact for key business stakeholders to ensure expectations are met.
