Day-to-day of the role:
- Deliver inspiring and effective English lessons to students across KS3 and KS4, with the potential to teach KS5.
- Engage and motivate students to reach their full potential through innovative teaching methods and a positive classroom environment.
- Assess, track, and report on students' progress, adapting teaching methods to meet individual student needs.
- Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the school's culture of continuous improvement.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and subject knowledge.
- Uphold the school's values and policies, including those relating to safeguarding and student welfare.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
- A passion for English and teaching young people.
- Ability to teach English across KS3 and KS4, with KS5 being desirable.
- Commitment to professional growth and a drive to excel in teaching practice.
- Strong classroom management skills and high expectations for student behaviour and achievement.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
