Administrative Officer

If you are currently in an administrative role but would like to have a more central role dealing with all queries and communication within an organisation, this role is for you. You will administer and co-ordinate the UK Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association activities, which includes general membership enquiries for individuals and clubs, tournaments, administration of databases, and updating of the Association's website. You will need excellent organisation skills, attention to detail and good communication skills to make a success of this role as it is key to the success of all the Association's activities.

Administrative Officer Responsibilities:

  • Be a central point of contact for all Association information and membership enquiries
  • Process membership applications and queries
  • Deal with competitions, membership, funding and general enquiries
  • Liaise with and support the Board of Directors with
  • Association activities
  • Support clubs and members with using the IT platform
  • Organise courses relating to first aid,safeguarding, rules etc.
  • Update the website.

Administrative Officer Requirements:

You will need to have:

  • Previous experience in an administrative role
  • Good attention to detail
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Strong communication skills, both in email and on the telephone
  • A positive can-do attitude and a motivation to resolve queries
  • Proactivity in administrating and co-ordinating events and activities
  • Good IT skills.

About the United Kingdom Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Association

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is the fastest growing martial art in the UK and the UKBJJA is the official National Governing Body for the sport and martial art of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (BJJ) in the UK. The Association provides a governance structure, overseeing all aspects of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in the UK, which includes establishing codes of conduct, standard practices, competition formats and rules, arranging group insurance policies for clubs within the Association, and certification of instructors and competition referees as well as registration of new clubs. We are non-political, non-discriminatory and committed to inclusion for all aspects of the sport.

Location: Remote Role (Head office is Nottingham)
Hours: Full Time, Permanent: 40 hours per week
Salary: £24,000
