Security Supervisor

About The Role
You will be working Monday to Sunday, 07:00 to 19:00, 38 hours per week, on a permanent, full-time basis.

Main Purpose of the Role:

  • Maintain a safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel
  • Manage a team of security and cleaners and support the lead soft service manager
  • Protect our premises, assets and personnel while maintaining high visibility, presence to prevent all illegal or inappropriate actions
  • The goal is to detect, deter, observe and report

Key Responsibilities:

  • Staff training and development, using assignment instructions to train staff as part of continuous toolbox training as well as COSHH.
  • Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points; permitting entry
  • Supporting SSM with cohesive training and development plans for security staff, including measures to motivate performance in order to achieve; effective conflict management, outstanding customer care, dealing with incidents effectively, emergency evacuations, essential communication and team building
  • Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities; informing violators of policy and procedures; restraining trespassers
  • Control room relief and cover when required by management.
  • Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses; obtaining signatures. Monthly security risk management reporting
  • Overview of network communications between the security team, cleaning team, emergency services, tenants and stakeholders
  • Ensuring compliance with centre policies, procedures, first aid, data protection, disability and other relevant legislation involving cleaning and security personnel
  • Always taking initiative with minimal supervision by ensuring protective and preventative risk measures and controls are in place
  • Maintaining environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls
  • Maintaining organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements
  • Ensuring operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions and troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed
  • A strong, driven personality is essential with a flexible approach towards work

Skills and Experience:

  • Strong communication skill, both written and verbal, written, drafting as well as other based reporting systems. With the ability to convey clear messages to various and diverse audiences
