FP&A Analyst

Our client is a SME business who has experienced significant growth in the last 3 years and recently been aqquired by a private equity fund who has plans to expand the business to the next level.

In line with this objective, the company is recruiting for a new stand all alone FP&A Analyst. This key role, reporting directly to the CFO, offers an exceptional opportunity for a highly skilled professional to drive significant positive change.

By focusing on data-driven strategies, the new FP&A Analyst will contribute to the company's continued success and its goal of achieving higher levels of operational excellence and profitability.

This is an excellent opportunity for a candidate who has worked in a SME environment (ideally PE backed) and wants to gain huge commercial exposure during the early stages of a companies next step.

The right person will be ACCA/CIMA qualified with ideally 2-3 years pqe.

There will be some hybrid offered, but in the early parts of the role, it will be essential that this person is available onsite to business partner key management and for senior board meetings.

Key Duties of the Role:

  • Responsible for the production of the budgeting forecasting and scenario analysis including the continuous improvement of the existing budget and reporting system and models.
  • Manage cashflow and capital forecasting.
  • Enhance reporting quality, insights and automation.
  • Partner with management, to deliver insightful analysis to the wider business.
  • Review daily dashboard and weekly management reports.
  • Preparation of monthly board packs.
  • Support implementation of a new financial planning system, ensuring successful delivery and use to improve the quality, rigour and speed of our analysis.

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Qualified accountant with a minimum of 2 years post-qualification commercial experience.
  • Previous experience of working in a SME with PE backing would be advantageous.
  • Happy to work in an unstructured environment which is constantly changing with the view at implementing robust procedures and policies
  • Advanced Excel skills, including the ability to build financial models.
  • Great communication skills and the ability to speak finance to non-finance personnel.
  • Exceptional commercial awareness.
  • Strong Business partnering skills
