SEN Learning Support Workers

At Long-term Teachers we work with a wide range of special schools across Bristol and the surrounding areas. We're working on a variety of different roles at the moment that are a mixture of full-time & part-time positions (mostly full-time!).

The schools look after a mixture of different needs; there are schools looking after more physical disabilities (SLD, MLD, Complex Needs, PMLD) and schools looking after students with more behavioural needs (SEMH, ASD, ADHD).

These schools are open to a range of applications but you must have experience working with special needs in some capacity. In an ideal world you would have experience working in special schools but they are very open to support workers with good experience to apply.

The role

The role of LSW will involve providing general classroom support as well as 1-1 support. The role will vary school to school but will always revolve around supporting the class teacher with whatever they need.

It is a role where you must be adaptable, feel confident in dealing with challenging situations and always put the students needs above all else.
