Job Description: As a Behaviour Support Worker, you will play a crucial role in supporting the emotional and behavioural development of students. You will work closely with teachers, pastoral staff, and other support workers to create a positive and productive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-on-one and group support to students with behavioural challenges.
- Assist in the development and implementation of behaviour management plans.
- Monitor and record student progress and behaviour.
- Collaborate with teachers to adapt classroom activities and materials to meet individual student needs.
- Support the inclusion of all students in school activities and promote positive behaviour.
- Work with parents and external agencies to support students' social and emotional needs.
- Participate in training and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting.
- Strong understanding of behavioural management techniques and strategies.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patience, empathy, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
- Relevant qualifications in education or child development are desirable but not essential.
