A leading consultancy in London is actively seeking a skilled Construction Project Manager with a keen focus on office fit-outs, refurbishments, rebuilds, and projects in the commercial and leisure sectors.

The Construction Project Manager Role

As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in various aspects of project management. Your responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, offering a comprehensive experience in the construction industry.

Responsibilities:

  • Crafting design briefs and technical specifications for construction projects.
  • Conducting detailed cost analyses and financial planning for projects.
  • Navigating planning permission processes and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations.
  • Leading the coordination of design teams and specialist consultants for project execution.
  • Managing contractors to ensure cohesive project progress.
  • Overseeing budget management across all stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Providing consistent and effective communication with clients.
  • Administering health and safety protocols, including conducting safety reviews and audits.
  • Creating detailed As Built and maintenance documentation post-completion.

The Construction Project Manager

  • At least 2 years of relevant experience in a consultancy, design, or contractor setting.
  • A BSc/MSc degree in Construction Management or a related field.
  • Strong organisational skills and an aptitude for managing complex projects.
  • Excellent communication skills, fostering effective team collaboration.
  • A proactive approach, capable of handling a variety of construction projects.
  • Professional chartership, such as MRICS or MCIOB desirable but not essential
