The Construction Project Manager Role
As a Construction Project Manager, you will play a pivotal role in various aspects of project management. Your responsibilities will be diverse and engaging, offering a comprehensive experience in the construction industry.
Responsibilities:
- Crafting design briefs and technical specifications for construction projects.
- Conducting detailed cost analyses and financial planning for projects.
- Navigating planning permission processes and ensuring compliance with Building Regulations.
- Leading the coordination of design teams and specialist consultants for project execution.
- Managing contractors to ensure cohesive project progress.
- Overseeing budget management across all stages of the project lifecycle.
- Providing consistent and effective communication with clients.
- Administering health and safety protocols, including conducting safety reviews and audits.
- Creating detailed As Built and maintenance documentation post-completion.
The Construction Project Manager
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in a consultancy, design, or contractor setting.
- A BSc/MSc degree in Construction Management or a related field.
- Strong organisational skills and an aptitude for managing complex projects.
- Excellent communication skills, fostering effective team collaboration.
- A proactive approach, capable of handling a variety of construction projects.
- Professional chartership, such as MRICS or MCIOB desirable but not essential
