Senior School Administrator Required for a SEN School in Ealing
Overview
School is a small, specialised school dedicated to providing high-quality education and support to students with special needs using the principles of Applied Behavioural Analysis. We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Senior Administrator to join our team.
Full-time. 8.30am - 4pm Monday - Friday + Mandatory Training until 5.00pm one day per week, term time only
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the day-to-day administrative operations of the school.
- Liaise with the Chief executive in relation to the SCR.
- Update school SCR.
- Perform duties and attend meetings as reasonably required.
- Participate in the School's performance management scheme.
- Observe and implement current school policies and good practice.
- Maintain records of staff sickness and absence.
- Purchase training for staff members as required.
- Managing diaries and appointments including incoming communications e.g. telephone, email, post etc...
- Chasing reference for potential new staff members.
- Help with the organization and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring a safe and conducive learning environment. • Manage any incoming correspondence referring on as appropriate; screening telephone calls, enquiries and requests, and handling them as appropriate.
- Receive visitors on behalf of the Chief Executive/ Headteacher.
- Arrange travel for meetings, preparation and distribution of agendas and paperwork and minute taking for staff meetings, management , trustee meetings etc
- Support the Headteacher in relation to the Performance Management and Threshold process.
- Attend relevant meetings as required.
- Assist in the setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, printers, projectors, and other IT equipment.
- Manage user accounts and permissions, ensuring secure access to school systems and data.
- Ensure regular backups of school data and maintain data security protocols.
- Liaise with external IT service providers for advanced technical support and maintenance.
- Support the Headteacher's / Chief Executive management of administrative duties including the preparation of necessary documents and reports.
Skills and Abilities
- Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Strong experience using the School Single Central Record
- Proficiency in using office software (e.g., Microsoft Office, Google Workspace).
- Basic understanding of networking, hardware, and software troubleshooting.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Sensitivity to and understanding of the needs of pupils with special needs.
