Description
As an Assistant Financial Accountant you will have the following responsibilities:
- In this role, you will be tasked with managing intricate transactions and overseeing the detailed aspects of reporting for various entity codes. You will serve as a key support figure for diverse projects, ensuring operational efficiency and collaborating closely with Finance Business Partners during challenging situations.
- Your responsibilities will include actively participating in knowledge transfer sessions to facilitate the seamless transition of finance tasks to the Liverpool Accounting to Report department. You will assume responsibility for organising routine manual journals, including those related to inter-company transactions and Finance-Core topside entries.
- Furthermore, your role will encompass addressing accruals and reclassification entries without necessitating direct involvement from cost center owners. This involves handling utility journals, insurance expenses, and payroll adjustments, including worker's compensation and property taxes.
- You will play a crucial role as a reconciliation specialist, adept at resolving issues arising from system discrepancies and effectively communicating these matters to fellow Analysts.
- In addition, you will be instrumental in the preparation of entity budgets and forecasts, covering Profit & Loss, Balance sheet, and cash flow statements. Balancing process allocations, such as R&D costs and payroll management.
- Furthermore, you will handle basic manual settlements in SAP (outside the RPA process) and contribute to national statistics surveys. Your role involves maintaining operational fluidity and ensuring harmonious collaboration between various numerical components.
Profile
Successful candidates to the Assistant Financial Accountant position must have the following:
- Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software
- Actively studying towards ACCA/CIMA
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance
- Attention to detail
