My exclusive client based in Knutsford, are currently seeking a HR Officer to oversee the day-to-day HR functions within their busy factory. This role is crucial in servicing all HR needs for both salaried staff and hourly paid workforce, with a total workforce of just over 100 members of staff. The successful candidate will be part of a dedicated HR team, providing essential support during a period of maternity cover.
In return, the successful candidate will benefit from a generous salary for the duration of the contract, 25 days + bank holidays (pro rata) as well as early finishes every Friday.
Day to Day of the role:
- Provide guidance on employee relations queries and escalate issues as necessary.
- Act as an HR representative at grievance and disciplinary hearings.
- Support the recruitment process, including advertising, interview administration, and agency coordination.
- Handle recruitment administration, issuing offer letters and contracts.
- Ensure compliance with Probationary Policy, Right to Work checks, and Criminal record checks.
- Manage absence procedures, ensuring accurate record-keeping and timely completion of return to work details.
- Administer various HR policies, processes, and procedures efficiently.
- Oversee HR changes for payroll purposes.
- Manage the Company Time and Attendance & HR system, resolving daily anomalies.
- Compile HR reports upon request.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in a fast-paced HR role, preferably within a manufacturing setting.
- Good understanding of GB employment legislation, its application, and best practices.
- Strong communication and written skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
- Self-motivated with the ability to problem-solve effectively.
Working hours:
08:00 – 17:00 Monday to Thursday
08:00 – 13:00 Friday
