Excellent opportunity for a Quality Engineer for an immediately available contract role working for a market-leading, international company.

The company are a well-established, highly revered manufacturing company in the Plymouth area with sites across the world that not only are renowned for the quality of their products but also for being a leading and progressive employer within the area. Due to growth, they are currently looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join the team.

The person will come from a Quality Engineering background and have knowledge of a variety of processes within a manufacturing/engineering environment.

The Role:

  • PPAP, ensure appropriate controls are in place e.g. Inspection plans, SPC etc, when required, work with commodity buyers to find and approve new suppliers, Liaising directly with suppliers to overcome problems, supplier audits (both on site and remotely), parts rejection process, supplier visits, managing customer compliance, implement root cause analysis and preventive action
  • £34,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
  • Yearly bonus, monthly performance related bonus, company pension, life insurance

The person:

  • Diploma in Quality Management, Professional Certificate in Quality Management or Level 4 Certificate in Quality Assurance
  • Experience with Lean manufacturing tools - 8d, six sigma, kaizen etc
