Creative Artworker

We are one of Europe's leading manufacturers and suppliers of an extensive range of packaging &
consumable products, servicing an enviable portfolio of international blue-chip retailers and
fast food companies. Setting us apart from our competition is our award-winning Research &
Development department, implemented to deliver a selection of key added value initiatives.
With a strong commercial focus, this team focuses on; the design, development and launch of
consumable products, research and development of new materials and technologies, and
product marketing and own brand development.
We are now looking for a Creative Artworker to support our Design Team with graphic and artwork
led tasks. Covering an extensive two-dimensional creative spectrum, such tasks include:
- Creation of conceptual print designs across a range of packaging and product types (working to both internal and external client briefs)
- Refinement of print designs to create production ready print / artwork files (detailed cutters will be provided)
- Laying up supplied artwork in the EP Design House format
- Supplier artwork checking and proofing (against supplied files)
- Creation of product promotions, flyers and marketing literature
- Image editing and retouching
You
Trained in Graphic Design, ideally to degree level, you will be able to provide a well balanced portfolio which combines examples of creative design and illustration, with more structured and detailed assignments.
In addition, our Creative Artworker will also be required to demonstrate:
- A confidence that you can work accurately and quickly to supplied briefs, developing artwork files for client approval/sign off.
- An excellent knowledge of Adobe CS Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, applied to multiple design led tasks.
- A meticulous eye for detail and consistency.
- The ability to perform under pressure, as deadlines that we work towards are often particularly tight.
- A basic knowledge of printing processes and colour management.
- A passion and enthusiasm for packaging design and development.
- Whilst not essential, experience of working with blue chip retailers / brands would be a distinct advantage (not necessarily UK based).
