Role Details
- Position: Teacher of English and Media Studies
- Contract: Full-time, Maternity Cover
- Duration: Initially until the end of the academic year, with potential for extension to a full year
- Start Date: January 2025
- Salary: MPS/UPS (dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities
- Teach English and Media Studies across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4
- Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality lessons that inspire and challenge students
- Monitor and support students' progress, providing regular feedback
- Contribute to the development of curriculum resources and teaching materials
- Participate in extracurricular activities and school events
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher who:
- Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
- Has a passion for English and Media Studies
- Demonstrates excellent subject knowledge and teaching skills
- Is committed to raising student achievement and fostering a love for learning
- Has strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Is adaptable and willing to contribute to the wider school community
