Assure Personnel are supporting a well-established shipping service, to hire for a meticulous and experienced Payroll and Finance Administrator.
The successful candidate will be responsible for processing payroll for around 120 employees across 5 different payrolls, as well as support the finance team with processing of supplier invoices, bank transfers and various other ad-hoc duties.
Key Responsibilities:
- Handling of P45s, P46s, and all relevant statutory payments
- Managing Pension Auto-Enrolment duties (NEST)
- Calculating, submitting, and reconciling payroll taxes and Attachment of Earnings orders
- Communicating with HMRC and external parties regarding payroll-related deductions
- Maintaining payroll systems and records by collecting, calculating, and entering payroll data
- Managing administration for employee joiners and leavers
- Oversight of payroll control accounts including net pay, pensions, and HMRC liabilities
- Reviewing, processing, and reconciling staff expense claims
- Assisting with purchase ledger invoice processing and supplier payment routines
- Raising sales invoices and overseeing specific account controls, including cash accounts
- Processing bank payments, tracking transactions, and performing bank reconciliations
- Managing and controlling documentation for inter-company accounts
- Performing additional finance support duties as needed, including ad hoc revenue/cost analysis and annual P11D preparation
Required Experience & Skills:
- Working knowledge of end-to-end payroll
- Experience of Sage 50 Accounts (Sage Payroll would be an advantage)
- Good general breadth of Bookkeeping experience
- Reasonable Excel knowledge and skills
