Based in Edinburgh and reporting to the Head of HR, the successful candidate will be a key member of the HR team to provide an efficient and timely delivery of generalist HR advice and support to the their regional divisions, as well as driving HR projects across the wider business in support of the overall people strategy.

Description
- Responsible for all day-to-day HR activities.
- Work closely with local stakeholders, employees, and managers to fully understand HR needs and create targeted people support strategies.
- Employment law: providing generalist advice for key client teams, ensuring compliance with Employment law, managing complex ER cases, conducting investigations, and fostering a positive work environment.
- Support the effective delivery of the talent lifecycle, successional planning and career path mapping across the region.
- Actively monitor a range of people data and reporting information (absence, performance, engagement), analysing trends to create solutions.
- Provide support to the wider HR team in the development of the People Strategy. Leading and contributing to business wide people projects.
- Support and develop key HR strategies to improve the working environment, and maintain/improve KPI performance across the business.
- Provide excellent level of advice, guidance and support to employees and managers across the full range of ER disciplines.
- Drive the business values for your region.
- Provide HR Operational support as necessary to fulfil the role.
Profile
A successful HR Business Partner should have:
- Ideally a Degree or post-grad qualification in an HR discipline and CIPD qual (or working towards), the successful candidate will be motivated to work in a fast-paced environment and have a strong generalist background. You will have a minimum of 3 years experience at a similar level
- Strong examples in areas such as talent development, talent management, workforce planning, coaching senior leadership/ board level stakeholders, and employee engagement and recognition.
- Stakeholder management is a critical part of this role; you will create positive relationships with stakeholders through appropriate management of their expectations and agreed objectives. You will be self-reliant with excellent time management skills with a close eye for detail.
- ER experience in a unionised environment, not essential
- Multi site experience, essential
- Self starter with a bias for action, able to respond and adapt to a demanding and dynamic environment
- Flexible and willing to travel to different locations as and when required
- Ability to build relationships with all levels and be able to challenge senior leadership team.
Job Offer
- A competitive salary in the range of £55,000 - £60,000 per annum
- Based in Edinburgh, main travel required to Glasgow and the North East
