Tradewind are currently recruiting on behalf of a secondary school in South Liverpool, we are seeking a reliable and proactive DT Technician. This is a full-time role, starting immediately and continuing on an ongoing basis.
About the Role:
- Support the Design & Technology department with the preparation and maintenance of equipment and materials.
- Ensure all tools and machines are in safe working order and ready for practical lessons.
- Assist teaching staff during lessons as needed, including setting up demonstrations.
- Maintain stock levels, order materials, and manage resources effectively.
- Promote and ensure a safe working environment, following health & safety procedures.
The Ideal Candidate:
- Experience working as a technician in a school DT department or similar workshop setting.
- Confident using a range of tools and machinery (woodwork, electronics, textiles, or food tech knowledge all welcome).
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations relevant to a school environment.
- Organised, adaptable, and a strong team player.
- DBS on the Update Service (or willing to apply for one).
