Seafast Logistics, part of the Uniserve Group, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Import Operations Assistant to join our team in Felixstowe. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring smooth import processes for our customers.
About You:
- You will have 1 - 2 years relevant experience.
- You are a strong communicator, both internally and externally.
- You maintain a positive attitude and professional approach at all times.
- You are a team player who is adaptable and embraces change.
- You have a keen eye for detail and a proven ability to meet deadlines.
- You are proficient in MS Office and eager to learn relevant customs and port systems.
What You'll Do:
- Build and maintain positive relationships with our import customers.
- Process import clearances efficiently within a 2-hour turnaround time.
- Assist with raising T1 entries.
- Accurately complete CHEDs/IPAFFs pre-notifications.
- Arrange import declarations.
- Claim UCNs from the port system.
- Complete assigned training courses.
- Manage and update job file costs and charges.
- Generate duty invoices promptly.
