Competitive Salary, commensurate with experience
We are working with a well-established national law firm who are looking to attract an experienced Family/Matrimonial Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary to support their busy private family law team in Walsall.
The role will involve:
- Copy typing of correspondence and legal documents
- Audio typing
- Supporting a busy Family/Matrimonial team with administrative/secretarial duties
- Making legal aid applications when appropriate
- Making D11 applications
- Use of HMCTS for divorce applications
- Liaising with clients and third party professionals
- Responding to emails
Suitable candidates will have:
- A minimum of 12 months' matrimonial/family law experience including divorce, cohabitation, domestic abuse, occupation orders and child arrangement orders
- An understanding of legal aid applications and billing procedures
- Experience of using HMCTS for divorce applications
- Experience of using a legal case management system
- The ability to work well as part of a team
This is a full-time permanent job which is fully office-based. Hours of work are 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
