System Administrator

The System Administrator will be responsible for the implementation, maintenance, security, and operational support of IT systems within the company. As a member of the IT team, they will ensure the smooth running and availability of computers, servers, VoIP, and internet services. Additionally, they will lead IT projects and manage change within the UK.

Key Duties/Responsibilities

  • Systems administration and daily operational support for production environment.
  • Implementation, maintenance, and upgrade of IT infrastructure and applications.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues through root cause analysis.
  • Technical leadership in system design and build.
  • Ensuring UK IT policies align with Group requirements.
  • Oversight of system design, operation, and performance.
  • Management of third-party service providers.
  • Performance review and identification of system health risks.
  • Provision of escalated support for incidents and problems.
  • Utilisation of analytics to improve system efficiency and capacity.
  • Peer review of system changes and technical solutions.
  • Management of systems for hosted services.
  • Hardware and service management.

Experience

  • Office 365 applications and MS Windows.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, Microsoft servers' platforms, VMWare environment and Veeam backup.
  • Experienced in leading IT projects.
  • Knowledge of IT concepts, strategies, methodologies, and best practices; thorough knowledge of business functions and operations, objectives and strategies.
  • Broad general knowledge of technology architecture, infrastructure, network, security and software principles and models.
  • Basic knowledge of ITIL concepts will be appreciated.
  • Desirable - Knowledge of ERP systems.

Required

  • Full Driver's license as travel between sites is required.
