1:1 Teaching Assistant needed in Mansfield, Part-time, Temporary

Academics are looking for a 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a local alternative provision site in Mansfield, working closely with an individual pupil with SEMH.

This role requires empathy and patience but is extremely statisfying and rewarding.

Working as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant involves:

  • Working hours between 9.30am to 14.00pm, 3 days per week on site in Mansfield
  • Ongoing education and training opportunities
  • Supporting children on a 1:1 basis
  • Conducting interventions
  • Adhering to behaviour and safeguarding policies
  • Regulary record and monitor pupil progress
  • Reporting to the Class Teacher daily
  • The ability to use your own initiative
  • Encourage and implement a positive and encouraging learning environment
  • Understanding individual child's needs and working to avoid potential triggers

If you would like to be considered for this post, you must have:

  • Atleast 6 months experience supporting children in an education setting
  • A Level 2, 3 or 4 in Supporting Teaching and Learning, Early Years, Education or an equivalent to
  • Have or be willing to process an Enhanced DBS Certificate
  • References to cover you last 24 months of employment
