We are seeking a Payment Manager to oversee our Accounts Payable team. This role involves managing payment runs, handling aged creditor reports, and ensuring efficient financial operations. The successful candidate will lead a team of 7 Accounts Payable Officers, making this an ideal position for someone with strong leadership skills and a solid background in finance management.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Oversee and manage daily operations of the Accounts Payable team consisting of 7 officers.
- Ensure timely and accurate execution of payment runs.
- Prepare and review aged creditor reports to monitor and manage outstanding payments.
- Develop and implement efficient payment processes and systems.
- Collaborate with other finance team members to ensure accurate financial reporting.
- Provide training and support to Accounts Payable Officers to enhance their performance and development.
- Manage month-end closing processes related to accounts payable.
- Utilise Excel and other financial tools to create reports and analyse data.
- BACS runs
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a payment or finance management role.
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software.
- Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
