Management Accountant

My well established client is seeking a Mangement Accountant to join their dynamic team at a leading automotive services group. This role is ideal for a professional with strong commercial experience and a background in the motor trade. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the accounting process and will play a key role in the financial performance reporting within the company.
Day to day of the role:
- Managing the accounting process, including raising sales invoices, processing purchase invoices, and inputting journal entries.
- Conducting account reconciliations and being responsible for debtors & cash collection.
- Preparing cash flow forecasts and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
- Reporting on weekly and month-end financial performance.
- Managing new vehicle funding and importing information into management reporting software.
- Preparing ad-hoc reports and analysis for the Group Finance Director.
- Agreeing on timescales, costs, and resources for various financial activities.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- QBE or Qualified Accountant (minimum AAT) with strong commercial experience.
- Experience with dealership & workshop software, specifically Pinewood is helpful but not essential
- Kerridge experience is essential
- Good leadership skills and the ability to use initiative and solve problems effectively.
- Business management skills and excellent reporting abilities.
- Proficiency in Excel with exceptional analytical skills.
- A good understanding and experience of the automotive industry.
- A working knowledge of automotive industry accounts and management programmes.
