Job Title: Java Developer.
Location: Hertford.
Salary: £45,000 - £60,000 (dependent on experience).
Applause IT is hiring a Java Developer for an innovative software company based in Hertford.
Our client is a successful and fast-growing software company providing systems to leading UK, European, Asian, and North American retailers. They drive in-store, mobile, and online channels that make up a modern retail organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Develop high-quality, testable, well-documented software.
- Work closely with Technical Architects and Development Managers to convert specifications to production-quality software.
- Participate in configuration, testing, and release processes.
- Ensure adequate test coverage at unit and integration levels.
- Contribute to design and specification processes.
Required Skills:
- Strong Java programming skills.
- Experience with database development.
- Working knowledge of XML or JSON.
- Web Development experience.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Effective use of design patterns and unit testing frameworks.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.
Desirable Skills:
- Frontend Web Development with React, Angular, or Vue.
- Familiarity with XML to Java binding technologies such as JAXB.
- Familiarity with J2EE application frameworks such as JSF, Spring, and Struts.
- Build tools such as Maven or Gradle.
