Business Centre Manager - Basingstoke - Up to £38,000 plus bonus and benefits

Our established and professional client is looking for an experienced Business Centre Manager for an incredibly busy business centre in Basingstoke. As Business Centre Manager, you will have great leadership and customer service skills where you will get involved in the operations, financial management, sales and marketing combined with many other responsibilities where your focus will be on customer satisfaction and retention; maintaining high standards and ensuring the centre team always deliver exceptional service.

Part of the role will include (but not limited to):

  • Accountability for Centre profitability, Centre performance and the Centre's success through P&L management and generate new business through proactive prospecting, driving service revenue through up-selling services.
  • Conduct viewings, converting prospects into customers.
  • Proactively generating sales leads through networking, collaboration, brokers and commercial agents. Manage leads/opportunities updating CRM systems throughout the sales cycle to close of deal.
  • Keeps abreast of the local market by hosting and attending networking events and creating and nurturing relationships with brokers and commercial agents.
  • Effectively manage the renewal process working to retain every customer at a profitable margin.
  • Maximizes occupancy, rate, rent roll and profitability of the Centre by proactively managing customers' expansion requirements.
  • Regularly participate in the monthly Centre business review process, account for profit and loss and drive agreed actions to enhance Centre performance
  • Overall responsibility for the Centre: invoicing, maintenance, IT, and cleaning standards
  • Liaising directly with local and national contractors to ensure all building works are carried out to schedule.
  • Responsible for reducing the risk of fraud in the Centre following company policy and managing Health and Safety of your Centre
  • Set clear performance expectations for team members and conduct monthly meetings with the team to set clear objectives

We are only looking at candidates who have the following:

Proven success in a business-to-business sales environment with a minimum of 5 years' experience and the ability to manage and motivate a small team (1 - 3 people)

  • Experienced in self-generation of new business sales leads with strong negotiation skills
  • Great communication skills in building and maintaining business relationships
  • Experience in previous P&L responsibility is highly desirable
  • Good working knowledge of MS office, Excel, word, PowerPoint, Teams and Outlook
  • Driving license
