Applications Tester | Inside IR35 | 6 months contract | Up to £400 a day - 3 days per week onsite
We are currently recruiting for Applications Tester for one of our clients. We are looking for self-motivated and disciplined person who can work independently and can demonstrate strong finance sector interest/ knowledge.
Main tasks:
Testing client applications which have been developed mostly by using MS.NET C# on SQL Server or Oracle database by SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) procedures and Change Management Control procedures as defined by client. Defining test schedules against about 40 applications where many related application enhancements/maintenance projects are running simultaneously will be required. This will need to be negotiated with individual business departments in order to meet their delivery target dates.
Other tasks:
- Communicating with a wide network of users in London and other European branches, as well as Dubai and New York to ensure business requirements are met. Finding system solutions under the existing development environments.
- Liaising with the relevant support teams, i.e. Development, Technical Support, Network and Infrastructure, when users experience system problems.
- Communicating with the primary support Helpdesk staff in London and New York to give Application Developers the necessary advice, recommendations etc.
- Ability to have good leadership skills in order to build a new team and to support the requirements and activities of the wider Testing team.
