Quality Control Technician

Key Recruitment Ltd are currently recruiting for a Quality Control Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet the required quality standards and specifications before they reach the customer. This role involves performing inspections, testing, and monitoring processes to maintain quality throughout the manufacturing process. The QC Technician will work closely with production teams to identify and rectify quality issues, ensuring that all products meet regulatory and company standards.

What you will do:

  • Conduct routine inspections of raw materials, in-process production, and finished products to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Use measuring tools, gauges, and equipment to perform dimensional, visual, and functional testing.
  • Record and document inspection results, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Monitor production processes to ensure that they adhere to established quality standards.
  • Identify and report any deviations from specifications or process abnormalities.
  • Collaborate with production staff to implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Assist in the preparation of quality documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and quality manuals.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of inspections, test results, and quality issues.
  • Prepare and submit detailed weekly quality reports, including non-conformance reports, inspection logs, and test results.

To be successful for this role you need to have:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality control or a similar role in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Familiarity with inspection tools, measuring instruments, and testing equipment.
  • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) essential, quality management systems (QMS) and is a plus.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  • Good vision and manual dexterity for detailed inspections.

Hours of work:

Monday-Thursday 08:30-17:00 and Friday 08:30-12:00 (Salary range: £28,000 - £32,000 anually or £15.16 - £17.33 per hour)
