Our client has built a hugely successful retail business with a winning environment to work. They are now looking for an Online Merchandising Assistant to be based out of their Milton Keynes offices. The role is based at head office five days per week, so a convenient base for Milton Keynes is necessary.

As their Online Product Merchandising Assistant you will be responsible for adding, updating, and maintaining existing products online and ensuring accuracy to ensure the best customer experience.

Online Merchandising Assistant – Responsibilities

  • Responsible for uploading new products and assets via a Content Management System including product information, product copy, product imagery, product attributes, range data, and onsite categorization.
  • Maintaining new and existing products, including amendments, product code adjustments and discontinuations on the website.
  • Responsible for new range page set-up and preservation of existing assets and copy.
  • Reviewing product information and verifying prior to upload to ensure accuracy and consistency.
  • Liaising with the Product team to obtain product assets that are in line with brand guidelines and standards required for launch onsite.
  • Ensuring a high standard is maintained throughout the new product addition process.
  • Undertake stringent QC checks to ensure all product data and assets added to the website are complete, consistent and ready to launch online.
  • Working closely and positively with the Online Traders, Product Content, Merchandising and eCommerce development teams to ensure a smooth new product addition process.
  • Keeping stakeholders and department heads updated on progress.

Online Merchandising Assistant – Required Skills

  • A passion for and interest in eCommerce.
  • A working knowledge of content management system would be preferable.
  • An ability to multi-task, maintain focus and accuracy under pressure, and to meet tight deadlines.
  • Team player with a positive can-do approach, willing to get involved and results focused.
  • Enjoys working within a fast-paced environment.
  • Able to communicate and influence across all levels.
  • An organised approach with meticulous attention to detail. Demands high standards from their own work and others.
