Divisional Finance Manager £65,000 - £75,000 Based in Warrington

Do you want to be the head of your own finance team and have a strategic input into the running the division of a highly successful blue chip business?

This role will allow you the scope and exposure to help steer this business and also be part of a wider group of companies so you can draw on their support and experience.

The role will be get heavily involved with the sales team and you will business partner the General Manager and provide relevant and commercial information when needed and also be heavily involved with the P+L and balance sheet work. A great mix of commercial and technical!

Day to day duties

  • Assisting the GM with commercial decision making while supporting and working collaboratively with the sales team
  • Undertake customer visits where needed and closely support the sales team in the field with relevant financial information
  • Focus in on business control activities that add value to the business
  • Business development and planning such as price management and benchmarking
  • Cost planning and control in relation to revenue
  • Support saving initiatives in purchasing
  • Business governance, securing legal and stat compliance
  • Impementing and fine tuning effective business control processes and tools
  • Working with the management team to align the business control with the needs of the stake holders
  • Business partnering and stakeholder management

The candidate

  • A qualified accountant
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment that is changing and growing organically
  • Business partnering experience, ideally alongside sales teams (useful but not essential)
  • A good mix of technical and accounting skills
  • Strong exposure to an ERP system like Oracle or SAP would be ideal
