An 'Ofsted' rated 'Outstanding' school in Stroud, Gloucestershire is waiting for your application! This Higher level Teaching Assistant role will be based over the Primary school years Reception - Year 6, supporting the general classroom Stroud Teacher and focusing on a 1:1 basis with SEN children.
SEN children you will be supporting have learning difficulties such as: ADHD, Dyslexia, Autism and behavioural issues - this means they struggle accessing some forms of mainstream education.
This is where the Higher level Teaching Assistant role is crucial to the KS1/KS2 (Reception - Year 6) developing their educational understanding. You may have to take students out on a 1:1 basis on literacy, phonics and numeracy - use educational tools such as blue screens for reading and educational boards.
Qualifications for the Higher level Teaching Assistant:
- HTLA (Higher level Teaching Assistant) certification (or open to taking the qualification)
- Minimum 3 years working in a Teaching Assistant role.
- SEN qualifications or on the job-experience.
Pay - £83.33 - £90 per day.
Contract - short term to permanent
