Gloucester - Full-Time Science Teacher Role

About the Role:

This full-time position, Monday to Friday, commences September 2024 and offers a chance to make a significant impact on students' education.

As a Science Teacher at our school in Gloucester, you will be instrumental in delivering engaging lessons, assessing student progress, and providing constructive feedback to parents and colleagues. While we welcome Early Career Teachers (ECT), any educator passionate about creating a supportive and stimulating classroom environment is encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

Curriculum Planning and Delivery:

  • Develop and execute engaging science lessons aligned with educational standards.
  • Use diverse instructional methods to cater to different learning styles.

Assessment and Feedback:

  • Design and administer assessments to gauge student understanding.
  • Provide constructive feedback to guide student learning and development.

Classroom Management:

  • Establish a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Enforce classroom rules and procedures to maintain order and focus.

Communication and Professionalism:

  • Effectively communicate with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Stay updated on professional development to enhance teaching skills.

This is a full-duty role extending until the end of the academic year, with part-time consideration for the right candidate. Competitive pay rates, starting at £140 and rising to £250, will be offered based on experience and expertise.

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

  • Relevant teaching qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Experience teaching all sciences up to GCSE level.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills.
  • Effective classroom management and the ability to foster a positive learning atmosphere.
  • Legal right to work in the UK.
