Deputy Talent Acquisition Manager

Are you an experienced Deputy Talent Acquisition Manager or Recruitment Team Leader with a history of developing and supporting high-performing talent acquisition teams?

Join Elysium Healthcare and play a pivotal role in helping to manage Elysium's in-house Talent Acquisition team while driving the delivery of the recruitment strategy as the Deputy Talent Acquisition Manager.

As the Deputy Talent Acquisition Manager, you will report into the Talent Acquisition Manager ensuring that you provide a professional, responsive and customer focused recruitment service. You will manage a diverse team of Talent Acquisition Specialists to drive and deliver the talent attraction strategy and work closely with the On-boarding team to ensure applicants are progressed through pre-employment screening and on-boarding.

You'll be based at our People hub office in Luton 3 days a week, working from home the remaining time. As a multi-site business, there will also be the opportunity to travel, visiting sites and attending events.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Responsible for monitoring and increasing productivity of the Talent Acquisition team managing the workload distribution
  • Drive and deliver best practice solutions for talent attraction including campaigns, screening, and placement of applicants
  • Working closely with the Talent Acquisition Manager and stakeholders to identify their recruitment needs and implementing strategies to build candidate pipelines to support them
  • Serving as a primary point of contact for internal departments across the company, you will ensure staffing requirements are efficiently and effectively met as you build and maintain robust relationships with key internal stakeholders.
  • Leading recruitment initiatives for new site openings
  • Working with the on-boarding team to ensure that candidate's pre-employment screening and onboarding is carried out in a timely manner
  • Deliver against defined, measurable key performance indicators (KPI's) and SLA's
  • Coaching staff to develop improved service, increase skills and progress professional development, including delivering regular performance reviews
  • Assisting/ leading on Projects as set by the Talent Acquisition Manager
  • Working in partnership with our Recruitment Marketing team to ensure events are staffed appropriately and ROI is achieved

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Demonstrable experience managing a high-performing recruitment team within a health care setting - Nursing/medical recruitment background
  • Worked within an Internal recruitment function or from an agency Healthcare background
  • Experience managing a team of Talent Acquisition Specialists working to SLAs and KPIs
  • Strong stakeholder management
  • Working knowledge of employment legislation, policies, regulations
  • Understanding of applicant engagement strategies
  • Knowledge of best practice customer service methodologies
  • Ability to successfully source and reach out to candidates, using proactive approaches such as LinkedIn, job board databases, social media and boolean searching for passive candidates
  • Competence in the use of ATS systems
  • Critical thinker and problem-solving skills, able to make evidence-based decisions
