English Teacher - SEMH & SEND (Entry Level to GCSE)
Location: Stoke-On-Trent | Salary: Up to £39,000 | Full-Time, Permanent
Reed Education are proud to be supporting a specialist independent day school in Stoke-on-Trent in their search for a passionate and skilled English Teacher to join their team. This is a unique opportunity to work in a therapeutic, child-centred environment that supports pupils aged 11-17 with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and a range of additional SEND, including Autism, ADHD, and communication difficulties.

**About the Role:
We are seeking an English specialist with the ability to plan and deliver a flexible curriculum across Entry Level, Functional Skills, Key Stage 3, and GCSE. You'll be part of a collaborative team that values creativity, flexibility, and a deep understanding of each child's individual needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging, differentiated English lessons tailored to individual learning journeys
- Build nurturing, professional relationships with pupils
- Support students with emotional regulation and behaviour management
- Contribute to curriculum development and extra-curricular activities
- Maintain high aspirations for all learners, regardless of their starting point
- Participate in therapeutic training and reflective practice
What We're Looking For:
- QTS or QTLS qualification
- Experience teaching English across a range of levels, including GCSE
- A flexible, empathetic, and child-centred approach
- Resilience, creativity, and a collaborative mindset
- Experience working with SEMH and SEND pupils is highly desirable
