Baltic Recruitment are currently recruiting for a Part Time Conference & Events Administrator, working for a client located in Newton Aycliffe. This role is based in a busy Conference, Training & Business Centre providing events & meeting facilities, office space and training courses to a variety of clients.

Our client is looking for a Conference & Event Administrator to join their small and busy team of centre administrators providing a range of admin support and services to ensure the smooth running of the centre. This is a unique opportunity to assist with the coordinating and promotion of the venue's spaces to a range of corporate clients. The successful applicant will be responsible for providing event related administrative and operational support, ensuring the successful and smooth delivery of a busy daytime meeting and events schedule.

Conference & Events Administrator Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Managing the online booking system to maximise conferencing opportunities for the venue.
  • Leading bookings and liaising with clients and team members to plan event resources including hospitality and catering, it and room set ups.
  • Operational support to clients pre, during and post event to ensure success.
  • Smooth operation of the reception, greeting and directing clients and handling customer enquiries in a positive and professional manner.
  • Generic centre administration functions.

Conference & Events Administrator Applicants:

  • Experience in a similar role i.e., Customer Service, Business Admin, Hospitality and Events.
  • 4 GCSE's and/or Business Admin qualifications or equivalent.
  • Strong customer focus with exceptional interpersonal/customer service skills to ensure seamless event experiences.
  • Commercially minded to maximise income generation through venue hire.
  • Excellent communication skills, be confident, efficient, proactive and able to remain calm in challenging situations.
  • Outstanding organisation skills and attention to detail.
  • Good team player with an outgoing friendly personality.
  • Strong IT skills and familiarity with setting up IT and in-house audio-visual equipment.
  • A flexible approach to complete a variety of tasks and passion to make a difference.

Working Monday to Friday, up to 24 hours per week. Salary is £24,000 to £25,800 DOE (pro-rata).
