Purchase Ledger Assistant

We are currently representing a family run business who is looking for a Purchase Ledger Assistant on a temp to perm basis. This role is perfect for someone with experience in Purchase Ledger who is looking for a stable and rewarding career path. The role is office-based in Chelmsford with free parking on site, and the working hours are Monday to Friday, 08:30 am to 5 pm.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Register and authorise invoices.
- Handle supplier invoice queries by raising debit notes and chasing for credits.
- Process supplier credit notes and cancel debits as necessary.
- Prepare and raise supplier payments.
- Assist with the processing of incoming and outgoing mail.
- Liaise with branches to investigate internal invoice queries.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience in Purchase Ledger is essential.
- Positive attitude and professional conduct when dealing with suppliers and colleagues.
- Strong communication skills and accurate information recording.
- Initiative to develop skills, knowledge, and behaviour.
- Professional manner and personal responsibility for actions.
- Literate and numerate.
