Your new role
You will report to the Contracts Manager and be responsible for the daily coordination and management of a large education project in Oxford. This full-time, site-based role requires you to be on-site five days a week, flying out Monday morning and returning home early Friday afternoon. The project is scheduled for completion in December 2025, after which you are expected to transition to a project based in Northern Ireland.
Key Duties:
- Manage daily/weekly contract tasks and supervise key activities.
- Oversee programming and resource allocation for cost efficiency.
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Monitor contract progress to ensure it stays on schedule and within budget.
- Assist in developing valuations for effective cash flow and accurate WIP.
- Liaise with suppliers and teams for timely delivery and installation.
- Represent the company at contract progress meetings.
- Prepare progress and cost review information for internal meetings.
- Promote high safety and quality standards on site.
- Assist in preparing and handing over operation/maintenance manuals.
- Mentor and supervise the contracts team for development.
- Challenge and improve current systems.
- Assess team performance and address issues or training needs.
- Implement HR policies and conduct performance reviews.
- Encourage communication and maintain positive working relationships.
What you'll need to succeed
- NVQ/C&G Electrical Qualifications.
- Minimum of 2 years of site supervision experience.
- Experience in supervising and mentoring other operatives and apprentices.
Desirable:
- Valid CSR Card.
- IPAD 3a/3b certification.
- PASMA Combined certification.
