Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker Level 1 to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing vital support and intervention to children and young people with complex needs, including visual or hearing impairment or physical disabilities. You will work closely with families, caregivers, and other professionals to develop and implement tailored care plans that address the unique needs of each child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people with disabilities.
  • Conduct court work, child-protection assessments, and develop complex care plans to assist children and young people in need.
  • Demonstrate a good working knowledge of court procedures in Magistrates, County, and High Courts.
  • Maintain a professional and courteous approach while providing excellent customer service to clients and stakeholders.
  • Utilize social work processes and models of intervention to support children and families effectively.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support for children with disabilities.

Requirements:

  • Enhanced DBS & barred list check (Child) - Essential
  • Social Work England (SWE) Number - Essential
  • Social work qualification (e.g., CQSW, CSS, DipSW, or NVQ 4(Care), HNC (Social Care)) - Advanced
  • Significant experience in children's social work, including looked after children and child protection - Advanced
  • Advanced knowledge of social work processes and models of intervention.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
