The Role:
As a Music Teacher, you will deliver engaging Music lessons, promoting student enjoyment and achievement.
They will also consider ECTs.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor student progress and maintain high expectations for behaviour and achievement.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement the Music curriculum.
- Contribute to academy policies and enrichment activities, fostering partnerships with stakeholders.
- Stay updated on subject developments.
- Foster partnerships with parents and community groups.
- Ensure safe and stimulating learning environments.
- Fulfil other duties as assigned by senior leadership.
Requirements:
- Previous experience working as a Music Teacher or in a similar role.
- Hold a Qualified Teacher Status or working towards it.
- Relevant degree and specialist qualifications in Music.
- Thorough understanding of curriculum requirements and equal opportunities principles.
- Excellent classroom practitioner with commitment to professional development.
- Ability to teach up to KS3, ideally KS4.
- Familiarity with the Code of Practice for Special Educational Needs.
- Knowledge of child protection, safeguarding, and student welfare promotion.
- Skilled in various assessment for learning strategies.
